All Kindergarten students will be going on a field trip to Kentucky Down Under on Friday, October 23, 2026. The bus will depart from ECC at 8:15 am and will return at 2:15 pm. Kentucky Down Under is located in Horse Cave, Kentucky. The address is 3700 L and North Turnpike Rd. 1-65 Exit 58. Parents, if you would like to go on the field trip, you will need to drive and purchase your own tickets at the park. Students will see Australian animals including kangaroos, emus, owls, and turtles. They will get to feed Lorikeets, watch sheep shearing, and go to the petting zoo. Students will eat breakfast at ECC at regular time and then eat school lunch when we arrive at Kentucky Down Under. We will have 2 ½ hours at Kentucky Down Under and will board the bus at 12:30. We will return to school at 2:15. Parents who plan on attending will pay for their ticket at the park. If you plan on signing your child out and want your child to be counted for the full day, you will not be able to sign them out until we load the bus. I will not be on the field trip, but if you have any questions, you may ask the teacher or Mr. Noah Gregory. I know our students will have a fun-filled, educational day. We will provide lunch. If you send money with your child, it MUST be in a labeled envelope. Students will be responsible for their extra money.

New Museum Planning Meeting.
There is a meeting Monday, October 19th at 5:30 pm at the site of the First Christian Church off the square in Albany to begin the planning phase for a local museum celebrating Clinton County. This is an open meeting so everyone is welcome to attend and offer your support in any way you would like. We need input in organization, funding, construction, technology, etc. Come and see what we can do together. Invite a friend and let’s make this a reality for our county.
Class of 2028 Christmas Ornament Sale
The class of 2028 is having a Christmas Ornament sale. Ornaments are $8 each or 2 for $15. See the attached flyer for designs. Ornaments may be purchased from any CCHS Junior student or you may contact Mrs. Macy Arms or Mrs. Lorie Musk for details. Orders are due before December 1st.
Pumpkin Walk
The annual pumpkin walk will be held on October 20th at the Early Childhood Center from 4:30 until 6:39 p.m. Students will be given a goodie bag and activity card before entering the outdoor activity trail where they will receive goodies, visit vendors, and participate in activities.
Students can complete the activity card to be entered into a drawing for prizes.
6:00 p.m. Preschool Pumpkin Lighting
6:30 p.m. Barry Mitchell's "Shell-O-Ween Tricks, Treats, & a Chicken Beak" Magic Comedy Show in the Learning Center Auditorium.
This event is sponsored by the Clinton County Cooperative Extension Service, Clinton County Public Library, and a number of other community agencies and businesses.

ECC participated in a Safety Assessment through the Kentucky Center for School Safety. Keeping our students and staff safe is our number one priority at ECC. Beginning October 12th, to gain entry into the vestibule and front entrance of ECC, you will be asked state your purpose for visiting. Once inside the vestibule, all guests will be asked to show their ID. Please make sure you have a form of ID with you. We appreciate your grace and cooperation as we continue to keep our staff and students safe.

High Attendance Day
Faculty, staff, and students throughout the district celebrated high attendance day Wednesday with special treats and activities.. The district attendance average was 95.07% and ECC had the highest attendance with 96.52%.

FOOTBALL GAME PARKING INFORMATION – SEPTEMBER 11 SHUTTLE PICKUP-DROP OFF UPDATES
To help accommodate parking for our football game on Friday, September 11, additional overflow parking will be available at the Early Childhood Center, 204 King Drive, Albany, KY 42602
FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE
Two buses will run continuously between the Early Childhood Center and the football field.
Shuttle Hours: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Bus Drop-Off: Circle Drive (Next to teacher parking lot)
The buses will shuttle fans back and forth throughout the evening, making it convenient to get to and from the game.
We encourage fans to take advantage of the overflow parking and shuttle service. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to make game night as convenient as possible for everyone.
